Urwyler works with many different artists, spanning a variety of musical styles: the likes of Ron McClure, Tim Hagens, Regina Litvinova (jazz) Peter Reber, Tinu Heiniger, Stefan Eicher, (pop). He is also a member of several Bands: “Second Line Big Band” (jazz, funk), “In Mission of Tradition” (swing, blues), “DaeDet” (Mundart). Stephan Urwyler is also a very sought after freelance- and studio musician. Urwyler’s Album: “solo uf em mond” shows more jazz influence than his previous recording “super” (turicaphon 73660), still mixing in the blues and rock in combination with a lot of poetry. “Urwyler’s music is very diverse, it can be hot like Scofield, cool, intellectual like Frisell , or warm and emotional like Matheny. Urwyler understands the eclectic nature of his music to be a kind of “legal piracy”. His curiosity leads him to explore all different styles of music. He loves a grooving rock sound just the same as lovely ballad and walking moods. "Urwyler

sich das Beste heraus; groovige Rocksounds liegen ihm ebenso am
Herzen wie einfühlsame Balladen und Walking Moods.
